City of Irvine Open Space Preserve
The Preserve is more than 7,000 acres of habitats nearly equally divided between the City’s Southern and Northern spheres. It is made up of a mosaic of native habitats including wetlands, grasslands, oak woodlands and rare coastal sage scrub. And, like the rest of the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks, it is home to some of the most biologically diverse natural communities in the world. This scenic land is also a haven for rare and endangered plants and wildlife and is celebrated as a special place for recreation and respite. Explore the ways you can preserve this land.
